Master BJ Singletary

Master BJ Singletary began training in Hapkido in the Summer of 2001 at Washington State University, earning his 1st Dan in 2002.

Master BJ has spent the last two-plus decades training and supporting the growth of others in the art of Hapkido, along with pursuing his passion to continue his training as a lifetime learner. Master BJ has trained under  Grandmaster Young Gul Son since 2010 and earned his 5th Dan promotion in 2014.

Master Malika Kirkling

Master Malika Kirkling has been training in Sugi Heuk Choo Kwan Hapkido for almost 20 years. She began training in 2004 in Seattle, Washington and earned her 1st Dan Black Belt in 2006.

She has trained under Grandmaster Young Gul Son since 2010, earning her 4th Dan Black Belt certification in 2014. Master Malika is passionate about cultivating self-discovery and creativity through the principles of hapkido training.
